Geelong West Kindergarten is officially 100!

What a fabulous day was had at our One Hundred Years celebration day on Sunday 27th March.

It was great to see so many ex-students, staff and families taking a walk down memory lane as they moved around the kinder grounds, looking at old photos, slides and generally reminiscing about their fond memories of the past.  It was also pleasing to see ex-students, staff and committee members reconnecting and sharing stories of their time here.

Our current students enjoyed the festivities; creating flower crowns, engaging in large scale lawn games, partaking in yoga sessions, capturing the moment in the Photo Booth and being entertained by Nicholas Ridiculous.  They also revelled in sharing their kindergarten with their families who hadn’t had a lot of opportunities to enter the kinder rooms and playgrounds this year.

A huge thank you to Carly Ellis and her team, the committee, staff and kinder families for all the effort and hard work put into such a fabulous event.  The weather gods were also shining on us all weekend which really was the cherry on top!

See below for a selection of the beautiful photographs of the day, taken by our newest teacher (and talented photographer), Julie Chiles.
